BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman inquired about the treatment of a child who was a victim of physical abuse in Bancharampur Upazila of Brahmabaria.On Friday, BNP's Health Affairs Secretary and Coordinator of the Healthcare Support Cell, Associate Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, came to Dhaka Medical College from the "Legal and Medical Support Cell for Women and Children Abused" formed at the initiative of Tarique Rahman.During this time, he inquired about his medical treatment and provided financial assistance on behalf of the acting chairman. He also spoke to the child's family and assured them of being by their side for any needs, including medical and legal assistance.He also spoke to the doctors treating the child and requested everyone concerned to ensure the best possible treatment for him.Also present at the time were BNP's Health Affairs Assistant Secretary and member of the Health Service Support Cell, Bangladesh Medical University Registrar Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam,National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery Associate Professor and member of Healthcare Support Cell Dr. Foara Tasmeem Pami, Dr. Md. Jamshed Ali, member of Healthcare Support Cell Dr. Saiful Alam Badsha, member of Healthcare Support Cell Dr. Kazi Abu Talha.t is worth noting that this 5 and a half year old child was raped by a man near her house on April 15.
